Frequently Asked Questions

These are the questions most people ask us before anything else, but we're sure you can think of more. If your question is not answered here, please contact us.

What does it cost?

A course fee is  £37.50 per couple for the hour  I use my discretion if people are gong to be away for more than three weeks and people pay weekly, until the next course commences.

Class prices  for current intermediate classes are £7.50 for one hour classes .
For private tuition, parties and team building events, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

What will I learn in my Beginners  Course?

We like to teach two dances, for six weeks. The we teach another two dances for the next six weeks then we have a refresher of those four dances.
We tend to find this is the pattern that works best, so you become really comfortable with four dances before moving on.

Do I have to pay in advance?

There are no term fees. We take payment at the start of each class or private lesson you attend. Before booking a private lesson, please ensure you are familiar with our cancellation policy.

If you choose to book us for your event, we will require a non-refundable 20% deposit to confirm the booking.

What dances can I learn?

The following is a list of the most popular styles we teach. Other styles are available by request.
Ballroom
Waltz, Tango, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz
Latin
Cha cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive
, Argentine Tango,RocknRoll Charleston

What do I need to wear?

Comfortable shoes (preferably not trainers) and clothes which don't restrict your movement.

What? Don't I need sequins and fake tan?

Not at all. And no fluorescent colours. But of course we are very happy to supply if required!!!!

Do I need a partner?

Yes we prefer to teach as couples, single people are very welcome to come along but we can't always guarantee and partner for you to dance with every week

Is the music oldfashioned?

We very much try to keep everybody happy with the music that we play. We play a mixture of old and new, from Frank Sinatra to Caro Emerald, and you can be sure that whatever the age of the song, it's always good!

How long will it take us before we  get round the floor?
First night you will be going round the dance floor, and hopefully having fun. How many dances do you teach in one night?Usually two, but this is changeable depending on the class

Do you teach children?

We do not run classes for children at the moment. However, we are always happy to give a class a go, we tend to find when Strictly Come Dancing starts again on the telly we have an influx of parents ringing up for children to  start and we are always happy to start a class if the demand is there.
